care instructions
Tan Care
1- 2 Days before you tan, based on your sensitivity:
-Have all waxing, pedicures and manicures completed no less than 24 hours before spray tanning.
-Exfoliate and shave 12-24 hours in advance (spend a little extra time on knees, elbows, feet, and hands).
-Soaking in a bathtub, going swimming, or relaxing in a hot tub will also help with removing dead skin.
Day of your session
-Do not wear oil, make-up or deodorant prior to your session.
-Bring loose fitting, dark colored clothing and sandals to wear after your tan session.
-Try to keep away from clothes that are tight fitting, with an elastic band, spandex, silk, jeans and tight bras until after your rinse as these may rub your tan and create tan lines (NO LEGGINGS).
After your spray session:
-Protect porous surfaces by sitting on a towel to prevent transfer.
-Hands may be cleansed by wiping palms with a wet cloth or wet wipe.
-If make-up application is desired, limit products to powder based items only, until post tan shower.
-If product transfers to your palms, use a tan remover to remove the solution
-All swimming, shaving, showering and vigorous exercise must be avoided until after the first real shower (roughly 24 hr) as sweating can hinder the development of your tan.
First Post Tan Shower:
-Use warm water (no soaps or bodywashes!) It is normal to see color runoff in the shower; this is only the cosmetic bronzer and has no effect on your tan.
-Pat dry with a towel when exiting the shower.
-If you intend to wait to the following morning before taking your first shower, make sure and wear loose fitting, dark colored clothing to bed.
-Do not exfoliate skin for at least 48 hours after your sunless tanning application.
-The final color could change as the solution takes roughly 24 hours to completely develop.

Maintaining your Tan:
-Do not exfoliate skin for at least 48 hours after your sunless tanning application.
-Moisturize 2-3 times daily, especially after your shower to maintain an even tan.
-Use a tan extender to maintain the color and keep your skin glowing longer.
-If sun-bathing, remember to wear sunless tanning recommended sunscreen.
-Avoid all bar soaps which can be drying, and harsh your skin.
-Wash with a mild soft sponge or soft wash cloth.
-Avoid all soaps, moisturizers and skin care products that contain alcohol, parabens, mineral oil and generally hard to pronounce words.
-Pat skin dry when toweling off. Rubbing with a towel will remove the tan unevenly and at a more rapid rate.
-When shaving use a new razor with plenty of lubrication to minimize spray tan removal.
-Hot tubs and swimming pools can lighten or remove your tan.
-When your tan starts to fade, you can lightly exfoliate skin and reapply a DHA containing product at home to help maintain and rebuild color.
Teeth Whitening
Try to eat prior to your appointment as the session can take up to 1.5 hours. Please brush your teeth as normal after eating and before your appointment time.
After your session:
-The pores of your enamel are open which makes them very vulnerable to stains. Stick to a white diet for 24-48 hours until your pores close.
-White diet consists of water, milk, vodka, white wine, chicken, turkey, fish, rice, pasta, potatoes, and bananas.
-Stay away from tea, coffee, cola, OJ, red wine, dark beer, carrots, chocolate, green vegetables, beets, and red sauce.
Maintaining your white smile:
For a long-lasting white smile try to avoid extremely hot or cold liquids. Extreme temperatures cause teeth to expand and contract to allow food and drinks to stain. Avoid acidic foods and drinks or use a straw to minimize contact to the teeth. Also, cutting back on drinking and smoking will help in reversing the effects of whitening.
